El pasado miércoles 12 de marzo, se inauguró el primer club de coleccionismo de arte: “1502 Collectors Lab”, abierto a los curiosos y amantes del arte. A través de este club, los miembros tendrán la oportunidad de descubrir, comprender y celebrar el talento creativo y la expresión artística, iniciando con una exposición de una selección curada de obras de arte contemporáneo en el hotelEmpyrean Art Deco, ubicado en la Zona Colonial.

Club de coleccionismo de arte: “1502 Collectors Lab” Santo Domingo, RD.
El hotel boutique Empyrean Art Deco y su restaurante Patio Isabela Colonial, inaugurado en julio del 2024, han desarrollado un enfoque centrado en la celebración cultural y la apreciación del arte. Esta iniciativa crea una experiencia única para los huéspedes y visitantes, quienes podrán explorar los talentos artísticos exhibidos en los pasillos del hotel y del restaurante. Nos enorgullece presentar este concepto innovador como el primer hotel-galería de arte de su categoría en la región, y estamos agradecidos de contar con el apoyo de actores importantes del sector.
Liziarts, es una organización de carácter regional dedicada a la promoción del arte tiene como objetivo educar, informar y fomentar la apreciación artística entre un público selecto. Su misión es crear diversos mecanismos financieros que faciliten la adquisición de obras, destacando la importancia de invertir en arte.
La realización de esta exposición representa una colaboración estrecha entre el Hotel Empyrean Art Deco y Liziarts, con la participación de la galería invitada Galerie Marassa (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) y Galería El Encuentro (Las Terrenas, República Dominicana). La muestra cuenta con obras de destacados artistas locales e internacionales, cuidadosamente seleccionadas para ofrecer una variedad de estilos y técnicas que inspiran y provocan la reflexión.
La exposición, que incluye más de 40 obras, estará exhibida en el hotel Empyrean Art Deco desde el 12 de marzo hasta el 12 de junio de 2025. Las visitas se realizarán a través de citas previas para grupos interesados en aprender sobre el arte y adquirir obras únicas. A partir del 20 de marzo, todos los jueves de 6 a 8 p.m. bajo una dinámica de “open house” un representante de Liziarts estará presente para guiar a los visitantes a través de la exposición.
La noche culminó con la presentación del artista invitado Bernardo Wallis, de nacionalidad venezolana, quien mostró su técnica de “abstracción geométrica”, seguida de la visita a las diferentes salas de exposición.
Esta iniciativa cuenta con el apoyo de la curadora Sra. ClaraEgelmann; la Sra. Maríadel CarmenOssaye ofreciendo los servicios de tasación de las obras de arte; el Sr. Mariano Hernández, fotógrafo oficial, y a UNIBE, facilitando el talento humano aportado por estudiantes de la carrera de Estudios Liberales.

Empyrean Art Deco and Liziarts Launch First Art Collectors Club: “1502 Collectors Lab”
Last Wednesday, March 12th, the first art collectors club, “1502 Collectors Lab,” was launched, open to the curious and art lovers. Through this club, members will have the opportunity to discover, understand, and celebrate creative talent and artistic expression, kicking off with an exhibition of a curated selection of contemporary artworks at the Empyrean Art Deco hotel, located in the Colonial Zone.
The Empyrean Art Deco boutique hotel and its Patio Isabela Colonial restaurant, opening in July 2024, have developed an approach centered on cultural celebration and art appreciation. This initiative creates a unique experience for guests and visitors, who will be able to explore the artistic talents showcased throughout the hotel and restaurant halls. We are proud to present this innovative concept as the first hotel-art gallery of its kind in the region, and we are grateful to have the support of important players in the sector.
Liziarts, a regional organization dedicated to the promotion of art, aims to educate, inform, and foster art appreciation among a select audience. Its mission is to create various financial mechanisms that facilitate the acquisition of works, highlighting the importance of investing in art.
The realization of this exhibition represents a close collaboration between the Empyrean Art Deco Hotel and Liziarts, with the participation of guest galleries Galerie Marassa (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) and Galería El Encuentro (Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic). The exhibition features works by prominent local and international artists, carefully selected to offer a variety of styles and techniques that inspire and provoke reflection.
The exhibition, which includes more than 40 works, will be on display at the Empyrean Art Deco Hotel from March 12 to June 12, 2025. Visits will be by appointment only for groups interested in learning about art and acquiring unique works. Starting March 20, every Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., a Liziarts representative will be present as an open house to guide visitors through the exhibition.
The evening culminated with a presentation by guest artist Bernardo Wallis, a Venezuelan national, who showcased his "geometric abstraction" technique, followed by a tour of the various exhibition rooms.
This initiative is supported by curator Clara Egelmann; María del Carmen Ossaye, who offers appraisal services for the works of art; Mr. Mariano Hernández, official photographer; and UNIBE, which facilitates the talent contributed by students from the Liberal Studies program.
